Everton scored at 16' for Benfica, but Boavista managed to get a penalty to score the equalizer on the second half. After the 1-1 draw at the end of the 90 minutes in Leiria, the League Cup’s semi-final was decided in the penalty shoot-out. The reds scored by Grimaldo, Meïte and Weigl and counted on Odysseas and his precious saves to win, 3-2. Benfica will play its 8th final in this competition on Saturday, January 29.
