Sport Lisboa e Benfica has secured the signing of 31-year-old point guard/shooting guard Frank Gaines for its men's basketball team. The American, who will wear dorsal 0, has experience in several important European leagues.

"I am very happy to be here. Lisbon is a great city, the Club has a lot of history and a lot of fans. I'm looking forward to adding my experience, something I've acquired in the various clubs I've been at. Fortunately, I am in a team that fights to win every game and I hope we win titles", stressed Frank Gaines to BTV.

With an average of 19.5 points per season, the basketball player arrives at the Norberto Alves-coached team after a stint in Puerto Rico in the last few months. Among the various countries where he has been, special reference to the top leagues of Italy, Poland, Germany, Russia and Israel.

When it was time to introduce himself to the Benfiquistas, the point guard/shooting guard admitted: "I am a scorer. I also bring a lot of energy to offensive and defensive actions. I am a tough player and a fighter."
