About us

Benfica Campus

Since its debut in 2006, Benfica Campus has gone a step further in successfully integrating technological developments in sports science with innovative coaching techniques, providing the optimal training environment for an elite club.

The complex spans 19 acres, consisting of nine grass pitches - one of which has a capacity of 2,720 seats - two artificial surfaces, and a 360S indoor 'football laboratory' where players' individual physical fitness components are tested.

UEFA Youth League & Intercontinental Champions

Since the UEFA Youth League was created in 2013, Benfica has been a consistent performer, reaching four finals in the competition’s history.

In 2022, Benfica won the Youth League title in a dominant 6-0 display against RB Salzburg.

Also in 2022, in the first edition of the FIFA U-20 Intercontinental Cup, Benfica were crowned champions in Uruguay, after winning the final against Peñarol, 1-0.

A week full of mystique!

As part of a technical partnership signed in March 2024, around 50 students from the Mediterranean College of Sport experienced the reality of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Youth Development through a Team Training Camp held in Portugal. During a week full of mystique, the Maltese delegation played training matches between the Benfica Campus and the Estádio da Luz synthetic turf Synthetic, watched the Benfica-Moreirense match and had the opportunity to visit the Estádio da Luz and the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião.
