Rui Costa: "We will defend the Benfica brand and make it grow even more"
In an interview given as part of the Thinking Football Summit, President Rui Costa discussed various current issues at the club. On the sports front, he stressed the importance of investing in development and guaranteed that the board "did everything" to fight to the end for a second consecutive championship. Regarding the negotiation of the centralization of TV rights, he was clear. "We can't afford to lose out. We will defend the Benfica brand and make it grow even more", he said, during the event organized by Liga Portugal. Afterward, Rui Costa received the 2022/23 Champions Award and reinforced the ambition for this season.
