Benfica's men's roller hockey team won the Elite Cup for the 3rd consecutive season after beat Sporting in the final, by 2-4, this Sunday, September 28, at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Odivelas.

Before the cup was presented, individual awards were handed out: Roberto Di Benedetto was voted MVP of the competition and was named to the tournament's ideal five alongside Conti Acevedo and Nil Roca. Zé Miranda, with three goals, received the award for top scorer.

Having won the 3rd Elite Cup for the Benfica Museum– Cosme Damião, Benfica will now face the start of the National Championship: they will host Turquel on October 12 (Sunday) at Pavilhão Fidelidade, starting at 7:00 pm, in a match from round 1 of the regular season.
