Sport Lisboa e Benfica announces that player Dodi Lukebakio will have to serve a one-match suspension against Atlético Clube de Portugal this Friday in the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup.

The player was sent off by Sevilla Fútbol Club on April 24 this year, during a visit to Club Atlético Osasuna, on matchday 33 of the 2024/25 La Liga season, and was punished by the sports authorities with a one-match suspension.

However, Sevilla Fútbol Club ended up resorting to civil court and obtaining a preventive suspension of the punishment, with SL Benfica now being notified that the player will have to serve the suspension in the next official game for which he is eligible.

It is further noted that SL Benfica was duly informed by Sevilla Fútbol Club about this process at the time of the player's transfer.
