New coach, clear goals!

José Mourinho is the new coach of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's professional football team. After 25 years, this is a homecoming for one of the world's most renowned coaches. Alongside President Rui Costa, at a press conference held at Benfica Campus, it was 45 minutes of pure Benfica, with ambition being the dominant theme. See the best images here...

Benfica women's football team is preparing hard for the Super Cup, which will be played at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota in Estoril on Sunday, at 5:15 pm, against Torreense (tickets here). This Thursday, September 4, at Benfica Campus, the players once again showed their commitment on the pitch, under the guidance of coach Ivan Baptista.

The Sport Lisboa e Benfica professional football team continued working on Wednesday, September 3, at Benfica Campus, with a gym training session. During this FIFA international break, the Eagles sent 18 players to their respective national teams.

On Monday, September 15, Benfica professional football team prepared for the match against Qarabag, corresponding to Matchday 1 of the Champions League (league phase), to be played on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 pm, at Estádio da Luz. Due to injuries, players Bah, Manu, Bruma, Nuno Félix, Lukebakio, and Dedic did not participate in the training session at Benfica Campus. See the images here.

Signed a contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica on the evening of September 1, the closing date of the summer transfer window in the 2025/26 Liga Portugal, and the following morning he began working at Benfica Campus. Lukebakio was welcomed by coach Bruno Lage, general director of professional football Mário Branco, technical director Simão Sabrosa, and his new teammates (except, of course, those who are on duty with their respective national teams at this stage of the season).
