On Monday, May 27, the Estádio da Luz received the FIFA delegation – welcomed by President Rui Costa and other Sport Lisboa e Benfica officials – who, as part of the 2030 World Cup, visited the Stadium, the Pavilions and the Benfica Museum. Speaking to BTV, Miguel Bento, Miguel Bento, director of Benfica's Commercial and Marketing department, and António Laranjo, head of the World Cup's organizing committee, gave good indicators. “We're fully convinced that one of the semi-finals will be held at this stadium”, said Miguel Bento. “It's a matter that hasn't been decided yet. This stadium has the conditions for it, it has more than 60,000 seats, which is an indispensable condition for holding a semi-final. The Inspiradoras are back on the pitch! On Friday, July 25, at Benfica Campus, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's women's football team held their first training session of the 2025/26 preseason. This was also the first time that Ivan Baptista, the new coach of the five-time national champions, led a training session as coach of the Eagles. Notably, the integration of several young players from the B team into the senior squad was particularly noteworthy.
