Six players from Benfica's women's football team were involved in the clash between Spain and Portugal (5-0) on Thursday, July 3, on matchday 1 of Group B of Euro 2025.

Sent on in the 77th minute for La Roja, Cristina Prieto scored the fifth goal of the game with a header, sealing victory for Spain in the Iberian clash at the Stadion Wankdorf in Bern.

Carole Costa, Catarina Amado, and Andreia Norton (substituted in the 73rd minute) were starters for Portugal. Ana Borges, recently announced as a new signing for the Inspiradoras, came on at half-time, while Andreia Faria came off the bench in the 83rd minute. Lúcia Alves was an unused substitute.

The national team will return to the field at 8 pm on Monday, July 7, against Italy in Geneva. Spain will play at 5 pm on the same day against Belgium. Both games are valid for Matchday 2 of Group B of the tournament, taking place in Switzerland.
