Five-time national champions, Benfica's women's football team will participate in the V Trofeo Ciudad de Alcalá, facing Atlético Madrid as their opponent. The Iberian duel is scheduled for 10:00 am Portuguese time (11:00 am local time) on August 23, at the Centro Deportivo Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).

Atlético Madrid is one of the leading women's teams in Spanish football: it has won the Spanish Championship four times, the Queen's Cup twice, and the Super Cup once.

This match will mark the reunion of Ana Vitória—a player who wore the Sacred Mantle between 2019 and 2023, and who now represents the Madrid team—with the Inspiradoras.

The Trofeo Ciudad de Alcalá has been held since 2021, with previous winners including Ajax (2024), AS Roma (2023 and 2021), and Fiorentina (2022).

The physical tests, which are customary at the start of each preseason, took place at Benfica Campus on Tuesday, July 29.
