Salomé Prat bolsters the five-time champions until 2028

Salomé Prat is the new signing of the women's football team of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. The 23-year-old French winger signed a contract valid until 2028 and joins the five-time national champions.

Trained in Toulouse, Salomé Prat continued her university career in the United States, playing for the High Point Panthers and Iowa State Cyclones, and arrived in Portugal in 2024 to represent Torreense. Playing for the club of Torres Vedras, she played 30 official matches, scored 6 goals, and made 3 assists, demonstrating her talent, intensity, and ambition. 

"I am very excited to represent this huge club in Portugal, both on and off the field. It's a real honor. I know it's a great club, and people follow it passionately, with all their hearts. I've watched the Champions League and the men's championship, and the passion that the fans have is simply exceptional. The same goes for the women. When I played against Benfica, there was always a huge crowd, and people give their all for the club", said Salomé Prat, speaking to BTV. 

Addressing Benfica fans, Salomé Prat left a message of gratitude and ambition.

"Thank you very much for welcoming me here. I hope we can achieve great things together and win titles", she emphasized.
