Andreia Norton
Ana Borges, Carole Costa, Andreia Norton (replaced in the 76th minute), and Diana Silva were part of Portugal's starting eleven in the draw against Italy (1-1), while Catarina Amado entered in the 65th minute. Lúcia Alves and Andreia Faria were unused substitutes.
In the 80th minute, Diana Silva celebrated a goal, but it was disallowed after VAR intervention for offside by the striker, who recently signed with the Eagles until 2028. Diana Gomes scored the national team's goal in the 89th minute, following a play in which Carole Costa hit the crossbar. In stoppage time (90'+7'), Ana Borges was sent off after receiving the second yellow card.
In Thun, Cristina Prieto came off the bench in the 73rd minute of Spain's 6-2 win over Belgium, which sealed the reigning world champions' early qualification for the quarterfinals of the tournament.
In the final match of Group B, scheduled for next Friday, July 11, Portugal will fight for qualification against Belgium, while Spain will face Italy.
